Operation Feed-A-Pet

Our pets are part of our families. They makes us laugh, they're fun to snuggle and they are a great source of comfort during difficult or stressful times.

But what if those difficult times meant having to choose between feeding yourself, or feeding your pet? For many people, this is a daily reality that often times results in animals being surrendered to shelters - devastating to both owner and pet.

No one should have to relinquish their pet because they cannot afford to feed it. We're committed to providing pet food - and relief - to pet owners through the Center for Food Action and the Social Service Association of Ridgewood and Vicinity, Inc. so that neither they, nor their pets go hungry. We maintain a high level of consistency delivering the same kind of food each month, so that pets have a stable diet, which is important to maintain good digestive health.

Since Operation Feed-A-Pet's inception, Companion Animal Advocates has delivered 43,964 pounds of pet food to those in need.  This equates to 109,910 bowls of food. We are currently providing pet food to the clients of the Center for Food Action in Elmwood Park and Mahwah as well as the Social Service Association of Ridgewood and Vicinity, Inc.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!  We are delivering about 200 bags of pet food per month but we need more coupons!!!  Our goal each month is to have one coupon per bag but we run out quick.  Help us make your contribution dollars go further by calling Purina at 1-800-778-7462 and requesting two $2 coupons for Purina products (Purina will accept a coupon request once every 4-6 weeks).  Upon receipt of the coupons, please mail them to Companion Animal Advocates, P.O. Box 61, Hillsdale NJ 07642.  These valuable coupons significantly help us further our contributions to the Feed-A-Pet program.
