Home2Home Program

Home2Home

Life can throw a curveball without warning. Sometimes the family pet becomes a victim of circumstance and must find a new home. Companion Animal Advocates’ Home2Home Program aims to re-home these pets, bypassing surrender to shelters or rescues and avoiding trauma to both pet and owner.

The program is simple. When someone has no other choice but to give up their pet they can contact CAA.  CAA will set out to do an evaluation of the situation and then use our wide network of contacts within the animal community to help place the animal in another home environment.

CAA is not a shelter or rescue group. CAA posts photos and descriptions of family pets that are available for immediate adoption on our website, along with the pertinent contact information. Potential adopters are asked to contact the person surrendering the pet directly. Selection of an adopter is at the sole discretion of the person surrendering the pet.

CAA wants to help those who are faced with the unexpected trauma of giving up a beloved pet, and in doing so help shelters remain available to the many millions of strays still homeless.
